How to use JournalByTTS.
From your first trade to the full system: prop firm accounts, MetaTrader 5 sync, risk rules, replay and statistics. No account, no sign-up needed.
Recommended paths
01
Your first journal in 10 minutes
Account + profile + a manual trade. The minimum route to get the journal computing.
02Sync MT5 and relax
JTTS_EA does the work: trades synced every ~5s and risk rules applied on every tick.
03Critical reading of your system
The four metrics that separate a profitable trader from one who thinks they are: drawdown, Sharpe, R:R and health score.
04From one account to several firms
Diversify between prop firms, replicate trades on slaves and measure the real concentration of your capital.
Getting started
- Dashboard: your daily summary Your main view every time you open the journal. In 10 seconds you know where you stand: capital, P&L, active accounts and blocks for the month.
- Set up your profile Your profile controls public identity, preferences and credentials for integrations. Everything saves instantly.
- Prop vs Real mode JournalByTTS separates your activity into two completely independent contexts so metrics don't mix.
Accounts & firms
- Create a prop firm account Each prop firm account must be registered to assign trades to it, track drawdown and manage payouts.
- Create a real account Real accounts (own mode) are for personal capital: your broker's live account, demos for testing, or family accounts you manage.
- Move phase (Challenge → Funded) Each prop firm account can have multiple phases. JournalByTTS tracks them all, not just the current one — so you have the full history.
- Log payouts Payouts are the payments you receive from a propfirm from a Funded account. Tracking them gives you the real project ROI (collected − paid in challenges).
- Upload screenshots: dashboards, payouts and certificates Instead of typing every field by hand, upload a photo or screenshot of your prop firm — dashboard, payout certificate, or challenge-passed badge — and the system reads it for you (OCR + QR code, all local, nothing sent to any external service).
- Firms catalog /firms is the directory of prop firms the journal works with, along with their preconfigured official rules.
- Live Hub: real-time accounts Live dashboard to see the status of all your connected MT5 accounts. Equity, open P&L, lots, and positions updating every few seconds — without leaving the journal.
- Shared views: client mode Create a PIN-protected, read-only link so a client or investor can watch the live state of the accounts YOU choose — no JournalByTTS account needed, and nothing they can touch.
Trades
- Log a trade manually Go to /trades → "New Trade". The modal asks for the essentials so the journal can compute meaningful metrics.
- Import trades from Excel / MT5 Three ways to bulk-load trades without typing them one by one.
- Trade Calendar Monthly view of all your trades — the Calendar tab inside Trades. See at a glance which days you traded, how much you made or lost, and the weekly P&L summary.
- Economic calendar A macro news calendar inside the journal: economic events filtered by currency and impact, shown in YOUR time zone. Plan the session without leaving for another site.
- Market Replay Practice your chart reading with real historical data. Replay loads candles minute by minute so you can simulate entries, place SL/TP and review your decisions without risking capital.
Analytics & portfolio
- Drawdown and Recovery factor Drawdown is what can kill you (literally, in propfirms). Recovery factor tells you whether the reward compensates.
- Sharpe and average R:R Sharpe tells you whether your returns compensate the volatility. R:R tells you whether your system needs to hit a lot or a little to be profitable.
- Day × session heatmap Visual matrix crossing day of week with market session. Each cell shows net P&L traded at that intersection.
- Portfolio Health Score 0–100 index summarizing your portfolio's overall health. Designed to glance at and know whether your situation is healthy or critical.
- Allocation and concentration Portfolio — a tab of the Performance hub (/portfolio) — aggregates your accounts and shows how you're splitting capital and risk.
- Advanced Statistics The Statistics sub-tab of Performance → Metrics: the highest level of detail. Complements the standard analysis with advanced ratios, distributions, and a full per-symbol table.
Strategy & risk
- Create a strategy A strategy in /strategy is a template with your rules: when you enter, where you place SL/TP, how you manage, what confluences you require.
- Custom risk rules The Risk page (menu, Accounts group) lets you define your own discipline limits per account, with two tabs: Configuration and History. They're not the propfirm's rules — they're yours, stricter, to stop you BEFORE violating the broker's.
- Auto-close when you exceed your rules If you configure Risk-config for an account, the journal watches every 60s. If you've exceeded any limit (daily drawdown, losing streak, etc.), it tries to close all open positions via the platform's connector.
- Risk History In Risk → History tab (/risk-config/events) you have the full history of risk events: every time JTTS_EA or the server engine has blocked your account, auto-closed positions or rejected an opening for exceeding a limit.
- Risk per trade Amount in USD (or %) you risk on a single trade. The most important money-management metric and the most abused by inconsistent traders.
Integrations
Downloads (EA)
- Download JTTS_EA and CopyTradingEA In Connect → Downloads tab you have the EAs: .ex5 (MT5) or .ex4 (MT4) files you load in the platform and work in the background. We update them every few weeks; check the version periodically.
- Red "ACCOUNT MISMATCH" banner — what it means From v4.2 onwards JTTS_EA detects whether the account logged in MT5 does NOT match the account it's reporting to. If it detects it, it fully pauses and paints a red banner on the chart. It's a protection, not a bug.
Academy & copy
- Copy trading: live control panel Copy trading replicates trades from a master account in one or more slave accounts. The /copy-trading page is a quasi-real-time panel: you see equity per account, floating P&L, open trades and you can close trades surgically without touching MT5.
- Traders Hub: the community Social network inside the journal to share results, ask questions, and connect with other traders. Posts are visible to all JournalByTTS users.
- Be an academy mentor Mentors are users with privileges to create cohorts, invite students and review their shared journal.
Tips
- Organize your copy week: the Sunday routine Establish a weekly ritual to recreate and review your groups before Monday kicks off. In under an hour you set up the week — no emotional decisions on Monday at 9:30.
- Practice account as signal: multiply without risk Use a practice account (which doesn't charge) as the copy master. Its signals replicate to all real slaves in the group — you multiply results without exposing additional capital.
Pro plan PRO
- What the Pro plan is The Pro plan adds four professional-grade tools on top of everything Free has: Track Record, Advanced Analytics, Funding Simulator, and Copy Trading. Subscription is monthly ($17/mo) or annual ($163.20/yr, −20%) and managed from /plans.

- Funding Simulator Pro The Funding Simulator — the "Simulador" tab of the Performance hub — estimates your probability of passing a challenge with the firm rules (target, total DD, daily DD) and projects a 24-month scaling plan with multiple simultaneous challenges.
- Track Record Pro Track Record — a tab of the Performance hub — is a printable page ready to share with prop firms, potential clients or your trading résumé.
